Alexandra Kasper

Alexandra developed her love for scientific inquiry at McMaster University in the Integrated Sciences and Biophysics programs. She has taught in K-12 classrooms across the lower mainland and has been the teaching assistant for physics and science communication courses at the university level. She is an award-winning science communicator, having won numerous poster and talk competitions including the 2017 SFU Three Minute Thesis for her Master’s research exploring the thermodynamics of molecular machines.

Alexandra completed her Master's in Education in Educational Technology and Learning Design at Simon Fraser University. She is self-taught in MATLAB and Python from her experimental and computational research during her B.Sc. at McMaster University and M.Sc. at Simon Fraser University.

Chapin Korosec

Chapin is an interdisciplinary physics researcher nearing the completion of his Ph.D. in Physics at Simon Fraser University. Chapin’s research focuses on tiny nanoscale artificial molecular machines, where he spends his time both in the lab running experiments and at the computer writing simulations. Chapin has won numerous awards for his research including presentations at conferences, grants to travel to Sweden, and has received scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to fund his Ph.D..

Chapin is self-taught in C++ and R from his experimental and computational research during his B.Sc. at McMaster University and Ph.D. at Simon Fraser University.
